Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know that the book I co-wrote, "Flash MX Design for TV and Video," is now out from Wiley. I had asked what people in this forum wanted to see in the book, and I was able to get in a lot of your suggestions (especially about interviews with production studios using Flash for TV).

You can find the book on Amazon (just search on "flash mx tv" and it will come up), or most bookstores. If anyone picks it up, I'd sure like to hear what you think, and if you have any wisdom to add.

There's a web site for the book where you can read more, http://www.wiley.com/go/ftv. I'll post updates, corrections, and new tips as I find them.

More about me: I've been using Flash since version 2, working primarily on the internet. I animated a series of shorts called FishBar, which appeared on MTV in 1998, and since then have learned a lot about animation and how to get Flash onto video and television. For the book I interviewed many classical and Web animators to learn how best to blend Flash with classical techniques and post production.

cheers,
janet
