    how can i make "[a].amount = mainfoldernames[0][1]" work?

    hi there
    im trying to get this statement to work

    a is a variable....

    [a].amount = mainfoldernames[0][1]

    any help v.apprecaited

    yeah sorry

    [a].amount = mainfoldernames[0][1]

    a will be a string like
    "web"
    or
    "cdrom'

    so the idea is it would then set the varaible 'amount'
    which is in 'a'
