    Are you a Musician?

    I'm just making this thread to find out how many of you are actually musicians. I am

    I'm a Afro-Latin Percussionist, specializing in Congas, Timbale, Djembe, Various percussion (Cowbell, Clave, Maracas etc.)

    my step father plays the congos and latin percussion ..me couldn't carry a tune in a bucket

    Yes, I play saxamaphone, guitar (just got my Strat in the mail), keyboard, and synth (computer). Not to mention that phat recorder they make us play in kindergarten.

    Oh, and just cause I say play, that doesn't mean I can play well.

    Musicians: Antony Hart, Jeremy Myres, Jose Caracas.....etc.

    Bands: Palenque Afro Cubano, Los Mambesis, Putamayo....etc.

    Hahaha... if you've ever been in a band, you will know that Drummers are not musicians

    I play bass (upright and electric), guitar, keyboards, drums, synth programming and dabbled a little in the saxamaphone

    Oh yeah... I sing too

    Uhhh....yeah. But a percussionist is a musician. I'm not a kit drummer, I hate kits but I'm a P-E-R-C-U-S-S-I-O-N-I-S-T not a drummer

    Nah I was in the New Zealand Junior Synphony Orchestra when i was like 10 i was a drummer with a kit then Not now....i'v evolved

    I've played guitar for a long, long time.

    And I still suck.

    Played bass in some bands, around Pittsburgh and Philly, though. Always thought that the bass (if not played, hmmmm..., very well) is a great way for non-musicians to get on stage. It ain't that difficult, long as you have a half-decent sense of rythmn.
