Making an animation
Ok, here's the situation.
I have a army guy that is on the stage and IT IS NOT a symbol yet.
This army guy has a gun in his hand*
Anyways, what I want to achieve is having an animation of the army gun shooting his gun with his arm moving back from the impact. ya know? Also, i would like to have sound in it as well.
So to achieve this I was wondering if anyone out there can help me do this, maybe make a short turtorial on it. If i find out how to do this, I will be not as confused anymore. Also, I hope the turtorial or whatever contains something about making the army guy into it's own movie clip. Please help me on this one. Thanks in advance

GAME ON!!!!
You'll need to make the arm and gun a seperate symbol from tehmain body. Then the easiest method is to amke the arm move back frame by frame.
You could either do this on teh stage. Then copy/paste teh frames into an MC. Or do the animation in the MC first.
I use more of a cartoon style. But this tut may help you out:

GAME ON!!!!
You just drag it from teh library onto the main stage.
Do you understand how multiple timelines work in Flash?
You edit the Movie Clips timeline with the soldier in it. You can then drag that MC onto the main stage(this is an instance). Remeber to extend the frames in the main timeline. To the same number inside the MC.
