Thanks for the tip but I knew what Kazaa was -- I was specifically looking for articles giving it a bad name.

thanks man -- I have passed "What is kazaa" to my mate.

Fingers crossed my words of wisdom (thanks to my lovely FK friends!) will pay off and scare him away from Kazaa forever!

Its not a question of whether it is good or bad spyware, it is spyware none the less.

I don't use it...I have never even seen it. But I won't use it becuase it does contain spyware, viruses, and I consider it illegal.

I had 4 friends offer me Adobe photoshop7 that they had burnt from kazza but I declined and continued to save for another 2 months to buy the original

I aggree with clif on this on ...it's napster on steroids ILLEGAL!!!!...end of story. It will fall one of these days.

but all the monitoring/intelligence gathering is done by a third group deep inside GCHQ, they sit around listening to mobile phone calls and monitoring emails, I used to know someone that worked there, they said it was boring...

how very disappointing. I guess it would get tedious after a while but I can't imagine they would tire of monitoring what people are downloading from kazaa

'Tis also true that the US Federal Government monitors all data sent/recieved from publicly accessed computers. Knew a kid once who didn't own a computer in his home. He sent a long e-mail to his cousin from the library, containing a story about the death of a president. Secret Service was on him in hours. Scary stuff...
