Bryce
I have been looking for a way to get Bryce for months on the web--no luck. If anyone has any ideas or a link perhaps could you please e-mail it to me? jmtame@yahoo.com
I appreciate any help anyone can offer. I may just try Kazaa but I thought I had tried that before with no luck.
Thanks guys

then you arent going to be able to afford much software.
heres some freeware stuff you might be interested in though
for terrain generation, terragen http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/
for 3d stuff in general (not the best but its nice for making trendwhorey 3d spikes real quick), OpenFX http://www.openfx.org/news/index.php
more sophisticated and better 3d program (though tricky to use) Blender http://www.blender3d.org/
if you just want to learn a bigger program (though if you cant afford paying $100, this might be a little out of your range for a while), Alias|Wavefront have released a slightly reduced version of Maya, called Personal Learning Edition, which puts watermarks on your renders but is apparently very good if you are just interested in learning. i havent tried it as I am on win98 and it only supports 2k and up. http://www.aliaswavefront.com/en/pro...le/index.shtml

Addicted to Swift
Blender is cool... small and well free ... fits on a 3 1/2 floppy and will top a lotof 3d progs you will see... Blender is difficult at first but ultimatly easy

my .02...maya is very hard to learn - its hard to self teach maya, unlike max which is very easy to self teach

I was eager to order the Maya PLE (comes with the book for only $20), but I stopped myself--I plan on downloading it when I move and get broadband, but I think I can wait. Terragen is very nice, but so far doesn't seem to have half the capabilities of Bryce--I want to make other objects and don't want to be limited with landscapes such as the moon and odd rocky surfaces with those special fx that I see with Bryce..
I'm not downloading OpenFX and trying to find a link to get Blender so I'll let ya know how those go.. Speaking of Blender--is anyone seeing a direct link to the program? All I see is an FTP directory and I'm not finding it anywhere.
Thanks!
