a ! -character appears before the space

I'm using a mac pixelfont 'Kharon4a' (made by orgdot) for a non commercial project. But when I use it in FlashMX and press the spacebar, a !-character appears before the space.

example: in stead of 'graphic design' , there appears 'graphic! design'.

    Does anyone has an explonation?

In Flash 5.0 and in other programs, the font works perfectly.

    I'm lost on that one.

I really don't know about mac or flashMX for mac

Do you have this occurance with other pixel fonts from org dot that exibit this behavior?

If so it may be a fontographer (adobe) issue or a fontographer (font designer) compensation technique. Or a Flash MX bug that they were not aware of in testing.

    thx for the comment

I've checked two other fonts of her and I have the same story for Teacher's Pet, but Org_v01 looks good.

But, when pressing another character and changing the color of that character into the background is an alternative for a space. Anyhow, I like the font and cause I only want to use it for some words on buttons, I won't loose sleep over it.

    I like your solution.

That's a keeper workaround if I've ever read one.
