Censored words, more should be.
There's a lot of words which aren't censored on these boards even though it has a 'G' rating, which was nicely pointed out to me by CNO. I thought that certain words would be censored and I would be more than happy to email over a list of words which I think shouldn't be allowed.
posting them here wouldn't be very pretty given the circumstances

As the words you refer to are used on Radio 1 whose target audence is 14 - 19 years old and who have to adhere to extremely strict guidelines I don't think that they will be banned on Flashkit.
If we start banning the word "arse" then we should also ban the word "bum" and before long it just gets daft.
That's my two cents., I'll leave it in the hands of john to decide what is acceptable and what is not.

piss has different connotations in the US, it is used more frequently and has less of an offensive overtone.
If we were to ban every word that was remotley offensive to every language / nationality / member then we would be in a pretty sorry state.

I think its discrimination, cos my local pub is called The cock and Hen, what if I had a site to check for them?

it is a highly debateable issue, and one which I can't really comment on further as I am prone to using some of the words which you find offensive.
If a word is censored I will abide by the rules and cease to use it

as this is an international and widely diverse community, it is difficult to censor certain words as some countries can have different meanings for words.
Apparently fanny in the US is another word for arse or bum, in the UK it means something much ruder but I do not ask for it to be banned as it doesn't offend me. other words (such as cock) have coarse connotations but we can not ban the word as it also has less ruder meanings (its an animal).
the words in question are used on radio and TV in the UK before the 9pm watershed. I can understand that other countries may be stricter with enforcing clean language but if we adhere to guidelines, whats the problem.
I have a niece who's nearly 13 and I wouldn't post anything here I wouldn't say to her in person.
