random rotation game
hello, im new to making games...
im trying to set up a game that is like roulet. the user clicks on the chamber they want to load the bullet, then a button to spin it.
when they click spin i want flash to splin the barrel and for it to slow down slowly and randomly. i would then set it up to detect if the chamber that is in the top position(ie the shooting position) is 'loaded' the perform an action...
i imagine that i can set the rotation as
setProperty("barrel", _rotation, random(360));???
or maybe i should make the figure random(3600)?? - this way it would 'spin' more? but this simply moves the barrel to that position, it wont spin it? right?
so how would i effect the speed or spin? to slow it down as the momentum of the barrel slows down?
anyhelp would be much appreciated,
