    How does one make oulined text in flash??

    You have to Modify>BreakApart the text first. Then you can use the ink bottle to make outlines.

    Flash cant make outlines on static text, it has to be broken down to an editable format. an dyou do that by Modify>BreakApart ( in MX twice ).
    Then you can use the outline tool which is the ink bottle and click with it on the text and you got outlines. You can also change the thickness and stuff for it.
    This is pretty basic stuff well covered in the manual.
