is there a way to have a button in a flash movie to upload a file. it would have to open the local dir information. can this be done?

Can you be a little more specific? Are you wanting this to be internet based and upload certain files that would be on a particular platform(i.e. qbasic.exe) or are you trying to create a game and you need the code to open certain files when the button is clicked?

The internet thing is tricky, but if you're doing a game that's easy. You just have all the files you want to include in one folder and use a loadmovie to input them where you want them.

yes you can use php to do this but I'm not entirely sure how it's accomplised... i think i saw a thread on it somewhere... i'll run a search
