Converting from shape to text

Please forgive my ignorance. I just purchased a web template that includes a couple of swish movies. I would like to edit the movies to include our company name, unfortunately each letter of the words are shapes. Is there a way to edit these shapes and make them different letters? Thanks for your help,

you can't edit them like text. You can delete it and type in the text you want
