    rollovers

    I’m working on a Flash site at the moment and I have some text that slides in when you rollover another button, but when you roll out the text is supposed to disappear but it doesn’t unless you go and rollover the button again.

    This is the script I have.

    on (rollOver) {
    tellTarget (“homeroll”){
    play 0;
    }
    }
    on(rollout) {
    tellTarget (“homeroll”) {
    stop 0;
    }
    }
    Do you know a way to solve this?? I would like the text to completely disappear at the moment I've used a movie clip to animate the text.

    You got the wrong forum for this type of question.

    Ask in one of the help forums and someone will surely help you there.

    Here's what you do.
    1)
    You have an action layer containing the code stop();.
    You need two frames in the action layer. The code stop my be in both frames.

    2)
    Then add another layer name it label. Have two frame in the label layer.

    3) In the label layer.
    In one of the frames, give the label name "start".
    in the other frame, give the label name "end"

    on(rollOver) {
    gotoAndPlay("start");
    }
    on(rollOut) {
    gotoAndPlay("end");
    }

    4) Then just add whatever graphics or tween you want in the frames, start and end to represent the buttons.

    Hope that helps
