Holes in fonts filled in on export - why?

I'm using a couple of pixel fonts I downloaded from http://www.dsg4.com/04/extra/bitmap/ which I found via the Moock website.

I'm using them at 8 point, which should be correct, and they display fine in the .fla, but when I export the movie all the "holes" in letters like O,P,R,D are completely filled in (ie, solid)!

Any ideas why this might be happening?

those fonts are not made to work with flash. try some made specifically for it like:
minifonts
atomic media
miniml
org.opn.src
FFF
