i'm having major problems with masking. it works fine if your using white or black or any really light or really dark colours, but i have been using a mid tone colour which seems to allow an area that should be masked off to appear through, though very faintly.
Has anyone else come across this or can help me solve it (i've had to use solid blocks of colour for the time being to mask off areas but would prefer to use mask layers)
and while i remember, any ideas how to do gradient masks?
thanks for the help
dave.

I've sent you the flash file with a masking problem, though this isn't the only file it has done it on.
depending on how your monitor is set up you might not be able to see it, but about 95% of screens seem to show it.
any ideas
