pixel font mystery

so im using pixel fonts for the first time in flash and after seraching and downloading a few, ive put them in my piece and im getting that "some characters could not be converted to blah blah missing this ......" message and then there is nothing in the movie. what am i missing here. any tips appreciated.

most likely you have downloaded a font that was a demo/shareware, etc. What that usually means is that is will typically include A-z and a-z. The numbers and special chars are left out.

I would bet you are getting that error when you try to use a char that is not A-z or a-z..

yeah, that could have been it. ive found some other fonts and im onto other issues with them now.
