    stupid question.. ( do you have to inbed fonts?)

    when creating a flash movie.. do you have to inbed strange fonts someway or does it automaticaly do it when you type?? what is auto kern? thanks if anyone can help..

    You don't have to embed a font
    the difference is though.

    Device fonts must be the same as those on the visitors computer.

    with embedded fonts the visitor does not need the font to see the font.

    As for Kerning it has to do with the space between the fonts.
    Some fonts look perfectly matched at certain sizes yet look to spread apart or to contracted at other sizes Kerning helps to space them more correctly as not all fonts have the same fixed widths.

    question related to this topic

    i've had the problem many times lately where the automatic inbedding of a static text field doesn't happen. why is this?

    Quite possibly you could have a corrupt font.

    Does it only happen in certain fonts?
    Also check your output settings.
