    bitmap quality

i made an interface in photoshop, so i imported it into my flash library(keep in mind i made it the best quality i could for a bitmap)...

i put it in my fla and itlooks fine but when i test the movie, it is all pixelated and blurry. i also exported it as an swf and tested it like that too make sure it wasnt just flash doing that...Is there any way i can fix this?

Put it in a MC and set alpha to 99. That usually help if the image has gradients in it.

If its a gif image you are importing , change the bitmap properties to png instead of jpg. You can also set the quality of the jpg to a higher number.

For starters, check the 'properties' of the bitmap in the library. Change to 100 quality and test again (then go from there for desired file size vs. quality). Any change you make in the library override publish settings.
