scrolling text help

Hello,

I am having trouble getting this scrolling text box to work, with external text file. I followed the tutorials on Flashkit for scrolling, but cant seem to get it to work. Here's the link to my fla and text file

I am actualling doing it the old way like it was done in Flash 5....if I ise the new MX way...can i change the look of the scroll bar adn arrows? and what if I dont want the scroll bar, just the arrows?
