How do I use Tan-1?

I wanna use Tan-1 in my flash but I cant find the code. I have found Math.tan() but I need tan-1,, My mathteacher saiz tan-1 might be called arc tan sometimes and I found Math.atan and Math.atan2 but how do they work?

don't know if this helps,
but it calculates the arctangent of a specific number in radians. so if you have degrees or want degrees you need to convert. surely you covered that in your math class?

ehh we only go into our calculators and chance to degree in our math I haven't learn how to convert radians to degree. I want to use degree.
Do you meen that flash does it in radians, if so, how do I change that?
I am 16 years so I haven't have so much math yet,

Yihhhaaaaa!!!! I searched the internet for Radians to degree conversions and it worked!! It work even better than I would guess.

Thanx for the help, I woundent think of the radians thing if you hadent told me.
