    mmmm tried that, my problem is it doesn't teach me how to use it - not being an ActionScript guru I am finding my method does not work

    on (release) {
    malogo.attachMovie(contax,contax1,2);
    }

    as ordered by the actionscript dictionary does absolutely nothing! the idName "contax" is the same as the linkage id I created for my mc and malogo is an instance of a token mc on the stage, but nada...

    you must put the mcs between double quotations:

    Code:
    on (release) {
    malogo.attachMovie("contax","contax1",2);
    }

    Hamza.

    sorry bout the syntax here....in fact I did not need to put in the quotes as I was entering it in MX NORMAL mode which automatically entered them for me, everything looked right but nothing! what sort of things are common mistakes (other than syntax)??
