Me too - but I counter that with the fact that I like Rush (their older stuff, up to Roll the Bones) and Geddy Lee's voice starts making most people foam at the mouth.

New Wave
Well let me just put it this way, if you want to torture me, then lock me in a room with a band called Creed. His voice is a cheap rendition of Eddie Vedder's from Pearl Jam, sounding like a whiney dog howling out in the rain. Not only that, but the ego on the lead singer is just nauseating. I saw one of those documentaries on him and all he could talk about was how "legendary" and "great" he was. Just look at that video where he "saves" himself from drowning. Ugh..
Oh yea, in related news, Benjamin Curtis (The Dude You're Gettin a Dell Dude Guy) just got busted on pot charges today. Just saw that on tv.

like Eddie Vedder is any better!?
ugh... Creed. They're ok. But I don't own one of their albums, nor would I ever.

you could almost start a thread on the bands that started out great, then something happened...
- Pearl Jaam - good up to vitology
- Rush - all pre-80s stuff
- Foo fighters - first album good, rest junk
- Led zepellin - they shoulda stopped after physical grafitti
- list goes on and on.
creed wouldn't sound so bad were it not the fact that EVERY D@MN song sounds the same.
Of course I'm the man for the job! What is the job, by the way?

Yeah I agree, creed should have stopped before producing those 3 albums.
Hey, don't take all this creed-bashin seriously.
I confess to liking Steely Dan - now who in their sane mind would confess somethin like that???

I am confident in my own musical taste to admit I like Rush (I think)
They were all pretty good records (I like Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures best of the lot), until they became musical eco-warriors, with chintzy lyrics about man destroying planet Earth.
Gimme a break.

I'd like to add Hemispheres and A Farewell To Kings to your list of Kickin Rush Albums. The musical eco-warriors angle that they have taken is a real turn off. (Rush, The Kids in the Hall, and Labatts = the best things Canadia ever produced.)

Don't get me wrong, I like Canada a lot and have enjoyed the many trips I've made there. But it really is an 'even-stevens' kind of country, 'cause they produce bands like Rush, but then hack up Celine Dion, they have Labatts, countered by the skunky nastiness that is Molson Golden, and The Kids in the Hall, well, I don't really have bad Canadian comedy ensemble...
But look at the other two, very closely - there's a battle between good and evil being demonstrated here.
Maybe Great White North - that was pretty bad comedy. What a pair of hosers. Of course, theme tune featuring Geddy Lee - see what I mean?
