    sendload cache problems

I am having problems with xmlsendload function and the browser (only some on some platforms (noteable NT) caching the XML file. I thought that everytime one called the sendLoad function that the server handles the request and not the browser. Is there any way around this problem? Any way to force (for real) the XML to be called from the server each time.

    Thanks for any helpful directions

    Stefan

When flash runs in a browser the plugin passes any http requests to the browser. This is why you get very different behaviour when running as a standlone app/dev environment and when running in a browser.

The best thing to do is add a random string to the end of your request eg:

    http://www.tupps.com/my.xml?random=7827873

The best random number that I use is Date.getTime() which returns the number of milliseconds from 1970 which is going to give pretty much unique data.

See here for details on getTime:
