This is a good site Logo types for logos sorry no case studies, just resently bought a book titled 'How to design logos, symbols and icons' which is pretty good includes 26 or so case studies on some top names.

Toony mentions a book called "How to Design Logos, Symbols, and Icons," a book that helped me, but I found their explanations of the elements and properties that make up logos, as well as the process of logo design, to be very sparse. Moreover, the case studies were a mixed bag of both good and bad. It had elaborate and interesting anecdotes, but also had minimal explanations in some places.

- Nothing special, but interesting note on how logos at a certain point in time were very...spirally

- Tons of logos to get the juices going.

- Tons of INSPIRING logos
I have to warn, that logo specific information is minimal on the net, since logo design is by far the hardest aspect of design. Thus, I suggest finding a copy of the book previously mentioned, as well as Per Mollerup "Marks of Excellence."
