    Self Employed Designers

As I have mntioned n other links, I am probably going to go self employed as soon as possible.

I really want to gather as much info as possible, such as

    • Self promotion techniques
    • Tax/VAT etc
    • Motivation working by yourself
    • Doing freelance work for other design agencies

    and all the other considerations.

So any tips or experiences you've had. Post em here.

    Please.

    !

You will do fine, but keep in mind, you must have discipline as far as hours are concerned or you will not have a life! It is a great growing experience, just be sure to check some of the threads in the boardroom concerning contracts and such.

If you have more specific questions just come back to the boardroom, we will be more than happy to help you out

Many of your questions are country specific, so tell everyone where you are.

I'll move this to board room, where they can help you more.

Hows you're move going. I want to keep this thread going so we can get some usefull information.

Theres loads of corporate site with their advice, but you cant beat advice from those around you in the same field who've been there and done it.
