My father was born in Nova Scotia. I've visited their 6 times. My grandparents still live in Halifax. Try again.

I'm for attack - with UN backing; and only if Iraq poses a real threat.

I'm American, and proud of it.

you can't talk about another culture without bashing?

this is just an example of how americans can't see past their own border.

OK, i'll tell you what I know about Canadians. They love hockey. They love lacrosse. They have beautiful landscapes, small population (in terms of the size of the country), and a rather unbalanced political system.

I don't know all the facts... but if I was Bush, right now, no, I wouldn't attack Iraq. Yet.

OK, this has got a little out of hand.

There is a difference between discussing the benefits and pitfalls of different ways of life and having a general slanging match.

All I've seen so far is random generalisations...

Fellas, be civil or see this closed by the almighty MARKP OF DEATH sometime soon.

erm, dude. you've said some rather volatile things about blacks and americans in the past.

I believe that it's wise for you to be able to take the same abuse that you have dished out, or remain quiet. Nothing like a person that can't take what they give.

War on Iraq? : No, sort out a real threat like North Korea first and then finish off running Afghanistan then perhaps take a look at Iraq!

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I get from this...

If you aren't actively protesting the war, you're supporting it?

Thus, from a protester's point of view: You're either with us or against us.

    Am I right^^?

(PS: I am Pro-War (as most of you have more than likely noticed)... but that's beside the point.)

    it's all about perspective.
Creepy indeed, reminds me of 9/11, both then and now, I can view the smoke from up on a hill by my house.

I have to sit here in Europe and listen to american colleuges go on about how they hate french and german. Two fine county that are trying to prevent a savage war and loss of lives.
If you believe that France and the others are oposed to a war just because they "Are fine countries" than I'm sorry but you are showing your ignorance.

that handshake with chiraq and Mugabe showed us "how fine" France is towards despots.

And also Gerhardt Shroeder is an ex Marxist...so there is an ideological barrier allready between GW and him....
