Please help - simple text effect

Hello,

I found this text effect in the movie section a while back. I tried to copy and paste the frames with no luck. Can someone please let me know why I can't transfer it to another movie? When I transfer it, the text fades in and out but there isn't that telescopic ghosting effect.
