Newbie question

Hi everyone,

I'm trying flash for the first time, and this is what Im trying to do: Setup a nav bar in flash, with buttons. When one of the buttons is clicked, I want something off of the clicked surface to do an effect. In other words, the button is clicked and an effect is done on a seperate object. How would I go about doing this, and also I cant seem to unloop the playback.

As for the stop movie from looping.

go to the last frame of your scene
In the scene timline (top) right click
Select stop.


Speaking of stops....
Stops are good.
the movie is that a playing movie.
when you introduce a stop into the timeline

You can introduce go to frames where objects
can be visible or removed
like props on a stage.
