at is the difference between freehand and fireworks

The difference is, is that Freehand is for graphic design for designers who need very high dpi images and the file size is not a problem because its for print or t-shirts or a book or something (anything)

Fireworks on the other hand (pun -haha) is for web design. It only allows you to have 72 dpi. It also includes a lot of features which enhance sites.

    Hope this helps you out.

Freehand is a vector application, like Flash and illustrator. It users maths to work out its points.

Fireworks is a pixel application, like photoshop.

But you can print professionally (hires) from Fireworks, if you want, because you can set it to be bigger than 72dpi
