Just want someone to take a look at this for me.
Will someone take a look at this site at www.delstrange.com/2bluemoon and tell me if when you click on the volume slider and turn the music up or down a couple of times and then release it, if it doesn't release? I have noticed that it won't release sometimes but not always and I'm wondering as to why this is? Sometimes it sticks but most of the time it works just fine.
Thanks in advance.

Tested it quite a few times and it doesn't seem to stick for me.

Yeah, it stuck for me, not right away, but about the fourth time I clicked and dragged it. Then it wouldn't let go if the mouse was anywhere near the slider. Just tried it again, same thing, but only if you click and drag outside and let go, then it sticks.

i am aware of this issue... it happens on html pages when u take ur mouse outside the swf area.... the swf remembers the last mouse position and state when the mouse moved out of the swf.
i'll suggest u refrain ur slider movement within the slider mc and use onDragOut = undefined; or something similar

Well, in addition to on(release), add on(releaseOutside) like this:
on (release, releaseOutside) {
stopDrag();
}

thanks guys, I'll try what you suggested.

It worked for me with no problems at all.

OK, still a small problem. If you click and drag it, and mouse off while clicking, it stops dragging outside the hit area, but when you let go, say off to a side, the button snaps to the closest side where the mouse is.

Yea, since the slider is at the edge of the stage, the mouse could easily go off stage. When we stopDrag, the slider will jump and snap. I believe this would be unacceptable for music volume.
This is an annoying side effect of the startDrag-stopDrag.
Work-around is: repeatedly save the _x position by enterFrame block. Then on stopDrag, make _x to the last position we saved. So the jump wont occurr.
