i am trying to import large mpeg-2 files into Flash MX and want to ensure that they play back smoothly.

i read this article:
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/...ideo_tips.html

it recommends splitting up the video into 4MB chunks and stitching with "Sorenson Squeeze" (http://www.sorenson.com/content.php?cats=2/4&nav=2)

does anyone have any experience with this product or this process?

is there a way to split the video after it is imported into Flash MX or does it need to be done prior to import?

the destination for these movies is not the web so file size is not the issue - memory and processor allocation are the focus.

thanks!
