    Question 4 Flash MX Guru

    Alright, I wrote about this yesterday and was not helped. Please if you can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

    In my movie I have multiple scenes. There is a loading scene, intro scene and the main scene. After the movie loads it plays the intro and then it plays the main scene. I have an MC in the main scene’s timeline that needs to go back to frame one of the main scene when it is finished playing (the MC is spawned by a button, but that does not really matter).

    I am not trying to target a different MC. I am trying to get my MC to target frame one of scene three or my main scene after it has finished playing.

    I am thinking it will be something like this:

    _root.gotoAndStop(1);

    but this takes me to scene one not scene three. I need scene three frame one.

    Scene can only be targeted on the main timeline not withing movieclips/buttons et cetera:
    Code:
    //replace "main" with the name of your scene
    _root.gotoAndStop("main",1);
    If you are attempting to target a scene from anywhere else you should use framelabels (you should use this method anyways...):
    Code:
    //give the first frame of your main scene a framelabel of main1
    _root.gotoAndPlay("main1");
