Lightwave
I am a 100% n00b at lightwave and am trying to teach myself it.
I made a nice bouncing ball, but whenever I try to render it, it looks like utter ****. I turn AA all the way up and its all blurry, I turn it all the way down and it looks nothing like the ball should.
I've tried different formats and stuff.
My question is, what is the best way to render stuff out of lightwave so it looks good and good for importing into flash?
Is there a codec you use that is best? What camera resolution?

there are some tutorials that came with the program.
for the ball, turn up the segment count for the ball... that should make your ball render better. That will make for a better bitmap render that you can take into Flash.
However, to render the file into a *.swf file, then you will need to use a flash plugin like Erain's Swift3D Lightwave 2.0 Plugin that will render your 3D models to Flash.
That will be a separate purchase, btw.

Well, I inserted a .mov file form a disk I made that starts out flat, then turns around and zooms to fill the flash's screen, maybe for a nice layout. The file size with it was only like 100kb or something. Might have been less, can't remember.
Paying for that, in my opinion, is a waste of money
thanks for the tip though

100k for a ball? hope you give that thing a pre-loader... good luck.

Where is the segment count option? I cannot find it!
