i have seen the stop(); commands in the movie clips. I just dont see where the code is that tells it on rollout to play the second part of the movie clip

obviously, the first part of the animation is played on the rollover. Then it stops. Now on rollout, all you need to do, is to tell flash to carry on playing the movies.
Its like if your picking up your friend from his house in your car. you drive there, and wait until he gets in the car, and only once he is in the car you drive on, but essentially you are driving from a to c with a small stopover at point b.
I hope this makes it clearer.

yeah, sorry about all that. I finally saw all the code, and now it makes sense. I just have to put the logic in place now, thanks again for all your help.

hey ph8te,
I got everything working, but I still want to fix the rollover problem. The one that you said:"
This is possible, but it is very tedious. as each frame is completed in the animation is would have to increase a vairable, and then when the mouse rolls out, the clip needs to be played backwards by the amount of frames that the variable holds.
As i say, i once got it to work, but the better solution for perfect animations on your buttons it to keep them as simple as possible."
Do you know where i can find this code? Thanks man.
Take it easy. bfly
