Actually we have it was posted about a month ago. Very impressive though! From what I read it was all done with masks (I think I read that?). The real question is... how much did that guy get paid?

I wouldnt have the first idea to his/her salary, but i sure wouldnt mind being able to create something like that....

I've found a little glitch on the scripting thought, If you're very sneaky when pullin the page up to the top left you see that the image is a transparent png. And I've got a feeling now on how this has been done..

I mean it looks like a masking effect with the freedom of dragging the picture in any direction you want. But how do they do it all is the question. Both the picture and the mask move, and the shadow graphics move as well....it's just great

The version at actionscripts.org is a "cheat." The corner of the page doesn't follow your mouse like the Shrek version. Check out the "Lab" section at my site (www.kafenatid.com) and download the "Page Turn" FLA to see how it's done the "real" way.

NOTE #1: This is currently version 1.0, so there are a still quite a few things that need to be cleaned up and optimized.

NOTE #2: If you're using large amounts of text, the pages turn best when the text is in the form of a graphic (like a transparent PNG). Just FYI.

NOTE #3: My page turning doesn't have the "flicker" that the Shrek version does when you try to go backwards.

NOTE #4: Yes, I created this from scratch. Nothing was stolen, borrowed, or otherwise obtained (except the idea) from any other source.

NOTE #5: (last one, I promise) I added the "Previous" and "Next" page buttons for usability (some people STILL can't figure out how to turn a page in a book). Both still use the page turning script, but they just set the page to turn on a previously determined set of coordinates.

I like your version much better Phred. But I couldn't find the download section to take a look at the FLA. Would you mind posting a link to it?

    Thanks

If you're still around, I'd like to discuss the possibility of hiring you to do a customized version for me.

    Thanks,

    Thanks Venio,

I tried contacting him via email through his website, but haven't had any luck. I was hoping perhaps he might have the notification turned on this thread or maybe check it out in a day or two. Keeping my fingers crossed.
