Flash Button not appearing in Browser

    Hi,
I am trying to create a web site using Dreamweaver MX. Everything seems to work fine until I try to put a Flash Button on my Site.
When I open the browser to preview it, the button is not there. Instead I get a depressed frame where the button should be and this has those three symbols which together look like a symbol/icon for a person, in the top left hand corner.
The really strange thing is that when I tried my site in the browser on another PC it works just as I want it to.
So there seems to be some setting or other in my original PC preventing it from displaying flash buttons.
I cross checked the browser settings and the security settings on both PC's and they appear to be identical.
I am using a Windows Internet explorer version 6.

Does anyone know what could be the cause?

    Any help appreciated.

Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious, but do you have the flash player installed on the original system?
