    Detect Flash With ASP

    I saw your post and did a search on the internet and found these files. I have tested them and they work.
    ASP_Flash_detection DOWNLOAD THE FILES NEEDED HERE There is also a PHP Flash Detection version included in the .zip!

    There are several more files that go along with the detection script which you can download above. I posted the basic ASP below so you can see right away how we are approaching this.
    The script will send the user to the version of flash detected. Good for versions 3, 4, 5 and 6. You can edit the script as needed.

    FLASH_DETECTION.asp

    -----------------------------------------------
    <%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT"%>
    <%
    dim first
    first=Request.QueryString("first")
    If Request.Cookies("detection") <> Empty and first = Empty Then
    Response.Cookies("detection").Expires=Date - 100
    Response.redirect ("detection.asp?first=passed")
    End If
    %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Detection Flash4 support</title>
    <meta HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="6;URL=nonflash.asp">
    </head>
    <body>
    <p>
    <center><h3>Please wait...</h3></center>
    <object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    ID="detection" WIDTH="2" HEIGHT="2">
    <param NAME=movie VALUE="detection.swf">
    <param NAME=quality VALUE=high>
    <param NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#000000>
    <embed src="detection.swf" quality="high" NAME="detection" swLiveConnect="true"
    bgcolor="#000000" WIDTH="2" HEIGHT="2"
    TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash">
    </embed>
    </object>
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
    <!--
    if (null == document.detection) {
    setTimeout("location.href='nonflash.asp'", 500);
    }
    // -->
    </SCRIPT>
    </body>
    </html>
    ---------------------------------------------------------

    NON_FLASH.asp

    -----------------------------------------------------
    <%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT"%>
    <%
    Response.Cookies("detection") = "passed"
    Response.Cookies("detection").Expires=Date + 100
    %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Html page</title>
    </head>
    <body>

    Hi !

    But you forgot to mention that for real results detection.fla can be edited only in Flash4 :) If you have no Flash4, don't touch detection.swf and use included urls.txt file :)
    Good luck !

    I mean that it will work awful with detection.swf exported by Flash MX :) After careful reading you will find it on page where you found that files :) (actually it is my page :)
    Good luck !
