    flash playing a small intro clip help

    Hi,

    Can someone help me please in loading from flash an .swf file? I know it's easy but I'm in a real hurry and need to give in this project in a few days.
    I've made my .avi clip into .swf using Flash MX. Now all i need is make flash load the .swf file at the beggining of my movie.

    Also I was reading that someone would need Flash 6 in order to view the swf file, but is this true even after I have exported my movie that loads this .swf clip as a .exe file?

    Thx.

    loading external .swf

    Hi Panadraw,
    All u need to do is in the first frsme of your movie use this command,

    loadMovieNum ("dummy.swf", 1); (your external file would be dummy.swf)

    And regarding your 2nd doubt, Once you make it a .exe file you don't need to have the flash player or Flash to view the work.

    thx for the reply

    Thnx man,
    however, could I do this aswell?

    loadMovieNum ("dummy.swf", 0);

    instead of

    loadMovieNum ("dummy.swf", 1);

    ...what's the difference between the two?

    Loading into level 0 replaces your main movie, it's the same as saying loadMovie("dummy.swf", "_root") or just loadMovie("dummy.swf").

    Loading into level 1 keeps your main movie "alive" so you can have both movies loaded/running at the same time. And, if you unload dummy.swf, your main movie is still there.
