    loadmovie from separate directory?

    I didn't think this was possible, but then I hear folks say it is. Can anyone give us the final word on if it is possible to load an SWF from a subfolder into the current movie? I cannot get it to work using loadmovie:

    loadMovieNum("support/section.swf", 5);

    In a related issue, it seems I cannot even embed flash movies in DWMX unless the swf is in the same directory as the html file. This makes for a messy site. Shouldn't this be possible?

    I just posted over on the standalone forum, but I've never had a response over there and this is also related to MX...

    It should be totally possible. But remember that links are relative to the html documents location and not to the Flash file so using absolute url's will make life easier.

    You can load swfs and jpgs from a folder but if those have something to load like a jpg, a textfile or xmlfile, that won't be executed.

    Thanks for your responses. I'm glad to hear it is possible, but I still cannot get it to work. Should I use something besides:
    loadMovieNum("support/section.swf", 5);

    This is a projector file that is trying to load the swf. Does that change things?

    And I still cannot get an embedded swf to work in DWMX unless it is in the same directory. Can anyone embed an swf in a subfolder?

    I'm on a MAC running OSX. Perhaps that is an issue here?
