All previous versions of flashMX came with an actionscript dictionary and a how to use flash kind of book.
The version we got at work only has the using flash book, no actionscript dictionary. Is this normal? Or has someone nicked my actionscript dictionary?
after looking in 3 of the many upgrade boxes in my place of work, early signs point to their being only one book : using flash MX
"They're very much like scruffy pigs to look at, and they've got big, knobbly warts and lumps all over their long, hairy faces. They are very, very ugly indeed..."

No Actionscript Manual in Flash MX (box), just using. The documentation for the studio is even more anemic - one manual for every program (Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, Freehand, etc.). A few rungs down is the documentation for the Comm Server, which has what amounts to a pamphlet of documentation - looks like it was produced at the local Kinkos.
I suggest you convince work to get you a copy of Moock's Actionscript pocket reference - much better than even the PDF manual/help file included with the program.

The pocket reference is only about $12USD - it's not the full ASDG, just a brief version of the excellent actionscript dictionary included in the book (which is good, because the full book is a beast to have to carry around).
