Web development for 600-800 USD per month

Russian company of experienced programmers, having 5 years of experience in
    such spheres as:
    - Web development (PHP, Perl, ASP, HTML, XML etc)
    - Software devlopment (C#, C/C++, Visual Basic etc)

    continues on marketing campaign.

Middle and large project, ordered before the 1st of June, will cost you:
    600-800 USD for the month
of work fulltime (8 hours per day)

If you have any questions about this scheme, we'll be glad to answer them.

Off shoring stinks... here's to isolationism.

I hate being like that but come on, we've got a team of skilled programmers for hire for a full month at a rate of pay around the same as an american employee's weekly rate. How to compete with that? I mean $3.75 an hour? I can't afford to get out of bed at that rate. I know wait staff who make more than that before tips and you got a C programmer willing to work for less?

How does one level the playing field short of moving to Russia or India?

the playing field cannot be leveled.

you must find niches sectors that will not shipout their work to these less expensive suppliers.

Or add value to your product to justify the greater expensive (stuff like local knowledge, cultural knowledge, physical presence on client site, lots of face to faces ect ..)

    my opinion.

as an after thought, it does make me wonder about the long term viablility of my business. I mean the internet will create market places for these services more efficient than those presently exisiting, such as freelancer ect.

It's just frustrating. I've recently made a commitment to really scale back on everything, invest in books and time to learn from them and just focus on learning to program, thinking that It will put me in a sector of this business that is not in competition with 14 year olds with front page, and come to find out, a company I do alot of SEO work for off shores all their backend work out to Russia. They wouldn't tell me what they pay for it, but they said it would make me cringe. If highly skilled programmers working for less than I am allowed by law to work for are the future, IT is not where many of us should be. What a sad state of affairs.

Maybe it's them levelling the playing field with us, after all the money we've made off their cheap labour over the years?

We (I'm from Argentina) get wages and salaries that are 1/3 of what a US programmer/developer/designer gets, so the companies we work for can sell our services for 1/2 of american companies and they still win a lot.

    about 600-800USÂ per month

    Hello, All.
I want to clear up about our posting from April, 23.
600-800 USD per month - is a salary of one programmer.
    The designers are paid separately.

Our prices are low. That's true, but that is the situation on the
IT market in the depth of Russia.

I want to offer everyone interested - as it was said in one of the
postings - you can earn money giving us the projects on the
outsource base for 800 USD per month (or 4,5 per hour).

Make no doubt about the quality of our specialists. We have only
    professionals employed with our company.
If you require, we can send the samples of our works.
ope his doesn't sound like a hard sell. This is a business proposal.

Do we even offer a personal advertising space in the boardroom these days?

I know it's a low price worthy of discussion etc but at the end of the day, if everyone were able to post their company rates and details, we might as well just ditch the discussion forum in favour of a personals ad column.

I don't see that there's a need for a second self promotion thread (I didn't see the need or legitimacy for the first one either).

agreed, i didn't think flashkit boardroom was a place for advertising oneself seeing as we're sposed to be swapping tips and comments etc here. I'm not even sure the members sites board is appropriate cuz thats for showing off your website rather than advertising your company. Plus i don't see why u wanna post your ad in a place where everyone who sees it IS a designer/programmer etc

I merged the second thread with this first one. Ollga, please do not multiple-post in this forum. In addition, please do not post any further advertising-type posts here as well.
Your first one was left because the discussion had turned to the differences in international development issues.
If you want to advertize on FlashKit, contact the webmaster for prices.

    Thanks,
    Jay
