    mask problem

    hi

    i have a mask on the stage and a textbox with a device font used in it, problem is when i go to publish the file the text isnt appearing.

    anyone have a solution, i am using flash 5 have to publish the file as flash 5 and i have to use a device font.

    You will have to use static text or dynamic text and embed the font because dynamic text cannot be masked.

    ok, but by using the device fonts option you choose not to embed the font which gives the same result as using the dynamic textbox. If you are using the device fonts because you want the text to look crisp, you should think about using pixelfonts. They will remain crisp, also as static text and also as dynamic text with the font outlines embedded.
