OK, so I am sitting around my office the other day watching the Iron Chef, and during the commercial I get this crazy thought. Now I don't know if that was the weed or not, but I definitely was thinking about weird stuff.
Ok so my thought for this evening of Iron Chef's battles was...

"You know... most people live where they live becuase of their job or family. But noone ever really sits down and say... Where do I want to live?" Hell Microsoft says all the time.. "where do you want to go today?'

so I called a meeting.

and it went something like this..

Guys... where do you want to live? if you could live ANYWHERE In the world.. where would it be? and what would you do to get there?
So we all went to Barn's & Nobles (book store) and we all went to look at books from all over the place.. Surprisingly.. EVERYONE picked Hawaii!

And so I said... Ok. as soon as we finish with Infinium Labs Project we are all moving to Hawaii! Unless anyone has an issue with that. and so there you have it. No one complained. and Yes I am moving the whole company and their chicks and stuff. So you see My location is just part of the process...

interesting to know you were a ufc fighter. im into martial arts etc myself, kung fu, shotokai, kickboxing, and a bit of boxing.
havent had time for much letely but im thinking of going full steam into boxing again.

how long were you in the ufc for?
im kinda more interested in the ufc and martial arts now than i am talking about whoswe haha

anyways, back to the question question questions.

my answers to you,

i first saw your site by accident.
it was a while back when were-here was still with us. i was bored and was doing a mass web check for urls i felt like buying.
i went throught them all, whoareyou, whoami, werethere, yourthere, etc etc and stumbled across your site.

how did it make me feel?
i was amayzed... i thought, 'how is this possible?' and it convinced me that i would like to push my design skills further and get into 3d design as well as my other stuff.
it also made me smile with the humour you have there.

hmmm, what makes me happy.
seeing people smile, knowing that i have touched someone.
knowing that i have achieved something each day., i run best part of the contract for london transport doing thier paving... it may only be paving, but i can say i built that... and i built part of the dome, or i stopped putney bridge from collapsing etc.
its nice to know i havent just sat on my backside everyday wasting my time.
even if i won the lottery i know i would continue designing. it makes me happy to have the freedom to express my ideas (until the client says no)
one thing i could never stop doing is painting.
i stopped selling my paintings a few years ago when i got into design. flash and photoshop became my new canvases but im sure i will start some more paintings soon.

your 'office' sounds ideal since graduating ive been to half a million interviews and all of them were open plan studios with barewalls and a senior designer running round shouting at people.
what i would do to work in a chilled design house!

and i hear what your saying about wanting to be the speilberg of design etc.
i have similar dreams... but being just a junior level designer i have a fair old way to go... but it will happen.

and thanks for your advice.
tutors at uni etc and other senior designers have all said similar things about living life. which is one thing i make sure i do. digicam in one pocket, small pad in the other, and the trusty pen by my side at all times lol.

1. We use aprox 6 different platforms including xsi, lw 3dmx etc. The programs will never be mastered. They will only be put through the test by our imagination.
2. My theory...
Dream First Worry about it later. The word NO sucks. When you are working for CLIENTS... you make sure you listen to what they want. You inform them of your suggestions but you let them decide. when it's time to work on YOUR STUFF... @#$@ Everyone! It's about YOU not them. You don't catch up to them.. Let them catch up to you. Create for YOU... Feel what you do.. Show it.
Deliver your blood, sweat, and tears....
If they don't get it? who cares? Someone will.. better to fail doing your thing than succeed doing somone else's.

where would i like to live?

nowhere.
i have no specific place i would like to live... an ideal situation : me working for a top design agency, or at least being a top designer... working remotly with a laptop linked to the internet whilst i walk around the great wall, sail the yangze (sp?) or sit on the beach in the bahamas sipping mai tai coctails.

actually i wouldnt mind going back to the bahamas, paradise island... me a laptop and a personal butler woman to bring me drinks and... well you get the picture.

what will i do to accomplish that goal?
thats a hard one to answer, but i guess just work my hardest, continue to talk to people such as yourself and slowly build up the program knowledge and better design skills to be able to pull it off.

and the first thing i though?
i laughed... i thought... bluepeter gets a sense of humour.



how many people work for your company? is it just a small team of you?
and do you all know the programs? or do a few of you just sketch down your ideas etc and the others build the actual site?

and whats your favourite food?
