    maybe transparent movie

I'm not sure this can work - maybe you can use a transparent movie. By giving the movie this parameter: <PARAM NAME=wmode VALUE=transparent> in the <object> tag, you can display a movie with no backgroung color. If you will find a way to place the movie with the transparent part (the drop down menu) over the HTML content (I once saw somebody do it - something with HTML layers, though I no no idea how he did it) - then your problem is solved.

    good luck.
