I'm in need of some photo gallery scripting help...

Can someone please take a look at this FLA and let me know what is wrong with the scripting. I am trying to have the thumbnails clickable so that the larger version scrolls to the main picture area when clicked on. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance,

    G

Thanks Nionicle, I'll have a look right away. Is it okay if I contact you again if I run into more problems?

Ok, I need some additional help with this movie if possible. Now, images 7 and 8 are not appearing correctly in the movie (download below and see for yourself). Any idea as to why this would happen? They import fine, but the output is all jumbled. Also, is there an easy way of having this script work when loaded into an empty mc on the stage of another main SWF? With the exception of the image appearance issue, the move works great now independently, but when I load the movie into another externally, the script (gallery) won't work. Any ideas? Here's the new FLA again.

    FLA is here

I didn't even know that was possible. I know I've seen other flash files with similar scrolling image galleries. Can anyone else verify?

No idea. I havent made super huge long movieclips before
for the scrolling images they proably used action script to add them in and then place them on there x and y value

    Just curious.
Why do people use multiple swfs?

I think it's the most efficient way of managing Flash websites and keeping loading times to a minimum. Is there a better way?

gdstudios, ive got similars problems with pictures... i downloaded the flash and painted a number over the picture and it worked fine buuuuuut... the picture no . So... there's a problem with the pic i guess (also in my old presentation).
About exceeded flashes movie clip width... yesterday i made a interactive cd and i exceeded width and height and it worked fine. So don't worry.

    Anything u need. Contact me.

check signature guidelines - image file is too big

Anyways, yeah, I have no clue why this is happening and I don't know what to do about it. I need to use 8 images but it's only letting me use 6. It suggs.

If you have experience scripting with this sort of thing, perhaps you can help me with my latest problem. Is it cool if I PM you?
