I checked your FLA and the text was not positioned correctly. X and Y values must be integers.

    Thanks!!!

    I'll remember that next time

hey FFF, I purchased FFF Interface and from my experience...

If you place the font text field in a movie clip set to integers... then edit the text field within this clip by decimals until it displays clear, the font will look great. It always varies, mostly .2 or .6, whatever works.

Nah, I heard that theory of the 0.2 or 0.5, it's not true.... there is usually a mistake hidden somewhere....

it really does work, not sure why, but in my new site thats what i had to do to get it to work. At first the text would be blurry, but i notced a few weren't, i looked at their numbers and one was .6, so i set them all to .6, and it worked. This was a list for my portfolio.

Welll i wasn't finished with the site, but what the hell...

    Peep the library list.

And that is nested in a mc in a mc in a mc, all set to 0, and the scroll moves at a integer, and all the words are one movieclip with text fields as mentioned above.

the .5 theory only holds true under rare cases.

Mostly having to do when the mc/sprite itself does not edge
on interger with the parent movie.
Or when other objects inside displace the mc

I was workin on the new site, changed the dimensions of each fla, and now the fonts are all blured. I tried every type of pixel ofset, and everything is at 0. So I think somehow this impacts the displaying of the fonts.

    Dimensions were 820 X 440

Now 820 X 460. This is really starting to be a pian.

Did you check the positioning of the fonts in the new movie? Also check the transform panel to ensure that Flash didn't resize anything.

I didn't change anything but the canvas size. I reset it back, all the fonts are clear again. So this is very odd. I need to increase the width, but i don't feel like finding a solution to this blur problems.

There is a bug in Flash that resizes the text fields sometimes, maybe it's just a matter of going through each of them and hit the reset button?

    ok, found the problem.... duh

if you change the size of your file, and have the damn local url bookmarked... needless to say it is using a stored file somewhere... and my file was in a different directory calling those files. So if you change the dimensions of the root, make sure the html is exact, or there will be problems.

Thats 30 minutes wasted. And the .6 still holds for me, i'll try to rip it down while I'm working on it and post it.

Here's the fixed file. As you can see, it's all on the pixel and still sharp.
