I am using FLASH MX. I created buttons using a scrollpane that pops up images when clicked. The scrollpane works fine when I publish it and test it in Flash. The problem occurs when I insert it into Dreamweaver MX. It won't play within the Dreamweaver interface unless I delete the fla file and put it back again. When I test the Dreamweaver page it the scrollpane shows up but when the buttons are clicked nothing happens.
1. Is there something that I am missing when publishing in flash?
2. Working on the same kind of thing but when I publish changes I don't see the changes. Has anyone else come across this problem? Is there way to fix it? I have tried to copy my data into another file with no luck. Unsure what I am doing or not doing.
I tried to attach the one file and found that it was too big. Could this be my problem. How do I find out the size of the file in Flash MX? Is there somewhere to find out exactly how many bytes there are?
If it is my problem how can I compress the file or make it smaller?

Here is the other file. For some reason it is not finding the new .swf file that I have set in the actions on release. I am getting an error. I am rechecking the spelling and I can't figure out what I have done wrong.
Hi Ezekiel25:17,
I used the tutorial you sent. It works great except for the .swf file comes in really big. How can I size it? I made it the same size as the holder. Do I have to make it a smaller size? Can you take a look?

Still working on this one eh? I can so relate. It's a love/hate thing some days for me hehe
Anyways, you need to make sure that all the .swf files are in the same folder
i.e. Lets say I am saving all the .htm files to a folder called "TEST". You need to make sure that not only is your original .swf in the "TEST" folder, but you also need to make sure that the .swf that is being loaded by your button is in the "TEST" folder as well..
For example your main .swf that you are putting into dreamweaver is called "main". And within the .swf called "main" you have a button, that when pressed loads a .swf called "whatever". Make sure that both the "main" & "whatever" .swf files go into the "TEST" folder...
Does this make sense?
Hope this helps.

The truth is rarely pure, and never simple. But there are exceptions.
OH YES THAT WORKED!!!! I was really beginning to panic. I thought that was what it was but for some reason until you said it I couldn't get it to work. Must be magic.
Yes, it is a love hate relationship sometimes . So far the love is outweighing the bad. But sometimes my brain gets really tired.
