    fuzzy text help

I had this site checked a week ago and everyone said use a pixel font.

So I did. I donwloaded 'FFF harmony' from FFF

But it looks fuzzy on my screen when used at 8 point.

    Any ideas:

it looks to me like you aint set x & y to whole no's dude for the text, remember not only the text box needs to be whole numbers but also the movie that it's set in. And if thats in a movie that needs to be on a whole pixel as well etc etc.

Also, i have noticed sometimes that it resizes itself to 100% x 99.9% or something like that, you might wanna check that also.

yep. ive just created a series of movies trying to replicate your problem. and the only way was to make everything .2 etc off pixel.

id go through your work like the others have suggested and get everything bang on pixel.

its my favourite font at the moment.
but then again im a goldfish and i will love another in about 5 seconds time.

If you've imbeded your text within an MC, you need to make sure that MC is also aligned to whole intergers on the X and Y axis. Then make sure that clip is sized at 100%. When dragging MC's onto your stage, FLASH sometimes resizes (for some unknown reson - as far as I know).

The text loads from an external flash file into the main movie.

    Everything is spot on _x _y .

    Everything is 100%.

    I'm really confused

    Well,

If your loading in the text dynamically, I'm wondering if maybe you might have the text formatted in a manner that might be causing this situation, i.e. maybe you've selected a BOLD face.

You've stated that you're loading the text into the main movie - is the text field that this text is loading into placed directly on the main timeline, or has it been placed in a MC?

Are you using any formatting via HTML from within the .txt document?

    Just a few thoughts.

The text can be fixed pretty easily

    turn snap to pixels on

    type away

then you can adjust with by moving up and down with your arrow keys.
I can only postulate the probability of performing at a paramount level of perfection praised by the pulchritudinous paragon whose only practice is to preserve such a paradigm.

A sure fire method is once the external text is loaded up, you fire some events to break apart the text via actionscript into vectors using some global functions and call it whence the text is for surely all loaded up and ready for munchkinizing...
