Is there another program I must used to build pages in flash ? Does flash uploades itself automatically to a browser ? how to upload movies?

U must have either Macromedias Director or Flash 4 (u can download a 10MB 30 trial version at macromedia.com). If u view a flash movie from a website, it should play automatically, unless u dont have the plugin. U can get the plugin from shockwave.com (v4.0 i think).

you need either ftp chute or another ftp software to upload the files. If you have dreamweaver you can use it. Regards, Bill

just like da cheese said, you have to have a flash program to make flash movie. It is a software look just like photoshop or something similiar, but whole lot of different in the editing process.

Once you finish editing/making your movie, flash will produce 3 different file when you publish your work.
1. yourmovie.html (this is the html file which will call your flash movie.)

2 yourmovie.swf (this is the flash movie flash, you can view it with your browser or the flash standalone player)

3 yourmovie.fla (this is the file that you are editing)


If you are totally a newbie, download the trial version from macromedia and try it out yourself. Flashkit got lot of basic tutorial to get you started !!!

BTW: If you have the trial version, can u redownload it to use it for another 30 days?. Cause I definently dont have any money to fork out for the full version and I would like to learn more Flash (hoping to go into web design). Are there any other free Flash prgrms out there?
