    SharedObject

    Hello,

    I have a simple animation that I don't want played after a return visit. It's boggling my mind.

    Code:
    stop();
    so = SharedObject.getlocal("testing", "/");
    if (so.data.Visited) {
    	gotoAndPlay("end");
    } else {
    	so.data.Visited = true;
    	so.flush();
    	play();
    }
    This works great locally testing movie, but does not work on the server. Am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,

    Ron

    hmm...strange. Perhaps try removing the path prameter from the SO declaration.

    so = SharedObject.getlocal("testing");

    instead of

    so = SharedObject.getlocal("testing", "/");

    Thanks Cyanide, but that didn't do it. What DID do it was adding _root to my goto & the play() statement. Why is this? I thought _root was assumed or default.

    This software freaks me out sometimes.
    Regards,

    Ron
